Shaul Pollak has joined CMESS as a new Junior Research Group Leader at DOME. He enriches the research portfolio of the Centre with his focus on cross-scale environmental systems microbiology. Working at the interface of molecular genetics, evolution, ecology, and environmental systems science, his team will investigate how interactions across length- and time-scales shape our planet, which in turn shapes the interactions, creating a feedback.

Shaul Pollak finished his PhD in Evolutionary Systems Biology at Tel Aviv University in 2018. Before joining DOME in January, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher with Otto Cordero and Penny Chisholm at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge.
