I am a PhD candidate in the Petersen lab, focussing on environmental factors that might shape the lucinid symbiosis. I am particularly interested in identifying microbes that associate with different orangs of the host bivalve, including developmental stages. Another interesting aspect of my work is the influence of the seagrass ecosystem on lucinid bivalves. In my spare time you will likely find me in the water, teaching others how to scuba dive.
